Mary Ann "Cooky" Lovin

(nee Schellenger)

January 19, 1942 – August 11, 2021

Mary Ann Lovin, age 79,  of Gary passed into the gates Heaven peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Cooky is survived by her nephews: John (Debbie) Bodnar of Valparaiso, Daniel Atchley of Gary and Byron Wampler of Gary; her fur baby Chula and many great nieces and great nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Schellenger and Mary Ann Galiano; sisters: Kathryn Sherman and Frances Atchley and niece Mary Ann Wampler.

Cooky was a long-time resident of Gary. She was retired from Midas Mufflers after many years, where she was a forklift operator. Cooky enjoyed spending time with her many dogs throughout the years.
