Mattie Lee Tinnel, age 70, of Hammond, joined her Father in heaven on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.
She is survived by her four children: Imelda Kemp, Latrina (Anthony) Rivers, Darnella (Aaron) Tinnel-Crawford and Anthony Tinnel;   seven grandchildren; brother, Reginald (Shelia) Murphy; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ceola Tinnel; three sisters and one brother.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond  (Hessville) with Pastor Orland Soler officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.  Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, July 26th at Bocken Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mattie was born on September 21, 1944 in Chicago; she has made her home in Hammond for the past 15 years. Mattie was retired from the Catherine McAuley Clinic where she was the office manager. She cherished the time spent with her family and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and word searches in her free time. Mattie was a faithful member of the Family Christian Center in Munster.
