Michael John Aichner, age 67, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 31, 2015.
He is survived by 3 children: Cheryl Aichner, Anthony Aichner and Brandi Aichner;

Grandchildren: LaVonte, Michael, Shauntay 'Nichelle, Anthony James, Tyler and Aaralynn Aichner;

Sister, Mary Jo (Rand) Foor;

Preceded in death by beloved wife, Cheryl Lynn; twin sons: Thomas and Edward Aichner; parents, Louis and Angeline Aichner.

Michael was born on February 18, 1948 in Lansing, IL and was a graduate of T.F. North High School, class of 1966. He was employed as a security guard for UPS Security, and was a proud U.S. Army Air Force veteran.

Michael enjoyed working on cars and fixing and repairing things. He loved to read and was a gun connoisseur. Michael was a great conversationalist with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother a dear and loyal friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

At 7:00 p.m. Pastor Jose Burgos will conduct a Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Michael John Aichner. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
