Michael Cummins, age 54, of Chesterton, formerly of Hessville passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014.

He is survived by his father, Ralph "Bud" Cummins,

Step-mother, Jean Cummins;

2 sisters: Rebecca (Tony) Bieda

Brenda (Michael) Rodriguez, Sr.;

Nieces and nephews: Laura Dugan,

Michael Rodriguez, Jr., Ryan (Mandi) Bieda,

Lindsay (Kyle) Richerson, Zachary Bieda;

Great nieces, Madison and Alannah Dugan;

Great nephew, Anthony Ryan Bieda;

Preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Ruth Cummins.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Dennis Starkey officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, October 26th at Bocken Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

Mike was a lifetime resident of the Hessville area before moving to Chesterton several years ago.  He was a 1978 graduate of Morton High School.  Mike attended Ross Baptist Church and also Cline Avenue Fellowship Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music, and was an avid Chicago Bears Fan.
