Michael Mical Jr.

Michael Mical, of Hammond, passed away peacefully at home. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by cousins in Poland, good friends and especially Daryl and Sue.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Bernice Mical; brothers: John and Eugene (Shirlee) Mical

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond IN, 46323. A funeral mass officiated by Father Charles Mosley will take place at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond IN.

Michael was an Army Veteran who served as a medic. He worked for 25 plus years for Western Electric (AT&T) and later as a Deputy Sheriff for Cook County. Michael was a passionate sports fan, cheering on Notre Dame, White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks, Sky and Fever. Michael enjoyed traveling, visiting many parts of the world.

Special gratitude to Home Healthcare Nurse, Dotty, and to caregiver and friend, Leo. Michael will be deeply missed but forever remembered—LOVE  YOU MORE.
