Michaelene D. Liss, age 75, of Hammond entered eternal life on Friday, May 5, 2023.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Liss; three grandchildren: William Clements III, Catherine Clements and Ashley Pazdzuira; great granddaughter, Julionna Clements; one brother: Franklin (Linda) Rakoczy; numerous friends and her beloved dogs.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank E. Liss; parents, Frank and Catherine Rakoczy.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, IN 46323. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with Father Walter Rakoczy officiating. Private cremation will follow.

Michaelene was a lifetime resident of the Calumet area. She was retired from the City of Hammond as a crossing guard after 31 years of service. Michaelene was an auxiliary member of the VFW Hessville Post 7881 and a former parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. Michaelene enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be missed by many.
