Michele Renae Spence was born on August 1st, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois to the union of John Leflore Peeples and Esmine Mae Peeples.

Michele received her high school diploma in 1988 and continued her education at Sawyer and Purdue University college, she pursued a career at Heartland for many years, and then employed at The University of Chicago.

Michele dedicated her life to Christ the year of 1998 and continued to serve the Lord at her home church Life Point Church of Hammond, Indiana.

Through God's grace she married her beloved husband Basil Spence on May 8th, 2004. Through this great union they provided a loving home of unity with their children Asaad, Jawayne, Jhanelle, Tirae, Dermario and Trevon.

Michele parted this life on Monday, February 27th, 2023. She leaves her husband, children, 3 sisters, and 1 brother: Janet (Rainford) White , Patrick (Sharon) Clarke, Sherylle (James) Morton, Nefertiti Burton, extended father Otha Landon, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. directly at Life Point Church 7350 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323. Pastor Orlando Soler will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
