Michelle R. Miller, age 54 of Schererville, formerly of Hammond passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
She leaves to cherish her memory two loving sisters,
Carol Jo (Robert) Medwetz of Hammond and Melissa (Paul) Keller of Schererville;
six cherished nieces and nephews: Lynn Clark, Joe Medwetz, Dana Medwetz-Hedrick, Jeremy Koth, Stacy Ahlberg and Joel Keller; several great nieces, nephews and dear longtime friend,  Barb McCarley.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Evelyn Miller and nephew, James Medwetz.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Wesley Helfenbein officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, February 29th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Shelly was born on June 29, 1957 in Hazel Crest, Ill and grew up in the Hessville section of Hammond. She was a 1975 graduate of Morton High School. Shelly was employed as a cashier at Burgers Super Market for 8 years, and most recently worked for the City of Hammond in the accounts payable department before retiring with 25 years of service. Shelly was a kind and loving sister, aunt and a dear friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
