Monica Angeline Fedak, age 93, of Hammond, passed away peacefully and was called to her heavenly home on Friday, February 27, 2015.

She is survived by 2 children: Diane Fedak and George (Loretta) Fedak;

three grandsons: Brett (Tori) Fedak, Neal (Ashley) Fedak and Adam (Jennifer) Fedak;

5 great-grandchildren: Chloe, Nolan, Kendall, Landon and Maevin Fedak;

one brother, Harry Zaleski; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew George Fedak; parents, Walter and Lottie Zaleski and 6 brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6525 Kentucky Ave, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Larry Kew celebrant.  Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.  Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday morning, March 4, 2015 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at 11:00 a.m.

Monica moved to Hammond 70 years ago; and lived in the  Hessville section for over 50 years.  She was a Charter member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and a member of the Rosary Society. Monica loved her church and was a very active member. She had a profound faith in God and was a devoted Catholic. Monica loved to garden and had always had a beautiful garden. She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
