Nadean Hilty, age 86 of Hammond, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 28, 2011.
She is survived by her four children: Phillip (Gloria) Hilty of Hammond;
Linda (Bill) Glenn of Cortez, CO;
Donna (Paul) Grayson of Indianapolis, IN and
Dennis Hilty of Honolulu, Hawaii;
6 grandchildren : Kim (David) Brys of Valparaiso; Phillip (Melissa) Hilty of Valparaiso;
Noah (Allison) Grayson of Carmel, IN; Nick (Amy) Grayson of Indianapolis; Hannah (Thomas) Polok of Colorado Springs, CO and William (Erin) Glenn of Durango, CO;
8 great grandchildren: Marissa and Zachary Brys of Valparaiso; Jillian and Nathan Hilty of Valparaiso; Cole and Carter Grayson of Carmel, IN and Kaylie and Jackson Grayson of Indianapolis;
one sister, Melvadean (late, John) Szablewski of Calumet City, IL;
nephew, John Allen (Judy) Szablewski of Calumet City, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Calvin C. Hilty on September 2, 1995; parents, Clarence and Lura Pritchett and 2 brothers, Carl and Clayton Pritchett.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday,
March 5, 2011, at 1:30 p.m.
at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Jeffrey Hannon officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday, March 5th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.
Nadean will be laid to rest next to her dear husband, Calvin at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville in a private service.
Nadean was born and raised in East Prarie, MO and has lived in the Calumet Area for over 65 years. She and her husband made their home in the Hessville section of Hammond. Nadean has been a faithful member of Hessville Baptist Church and the Ladies Wednesday Evening Prayer Group. She loved to cook, crochet and spend time with her family. Nadean was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
