Nadine Grace McCoy Borowski
(nee, Ahlborn)
Hammond
Nadine Grace McCoy Borowski, age 84, of Hammond, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Monday, July 16, 2012 .
She is survived by her daughter, Bethann (Michael) Holubiak and son, Mark (Sarah) McCoy; Step-ddaughter, Julie (Jim) Genovesi;
8 grandchildren: Aaron (Jessica) Holubiak,
Amanda (Jason) Alkire, Andrew and Adam Holubiak; Theresa and Jamie Shaw; Robert and Brian Genovesi;
9 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Virgil Mc Coy in 1973 and Theodore Borowski in 1998; parents, Wilhelm and Hazel Ahlborn and one brother, Robert Ahlborn.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Avenue, Munster, IN with Rev. Donald Stock
officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, July 19th at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be a time of viewing at the church Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
Nadine was a lifetime resident of Hammond and a 1946 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Munster where she served as treasurer of the seniors group and a member of the Ladies Aide Society. For many years she was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Highlander Grandmothers Club and the Ladies Pinochle Club. Nadine retired from Montgomery Ward in Munster after 20 years of service in retail sales.
Nadine will be remembered for her faithfulness and devotion to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose family was her number one priority, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Memorials in Nadine's name may be made in favor of Davita Dialysis of Hammond or Hospice of the Calumet in Munster.
