Nancy A. Patton age74 , of Westville, formerly of Hessville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.
She is survived by her 5 children:
Raymond F. (Lisa) Patton, III of Henderson, NV;
Kimberly F. (Anthony) Ladwig of Winamac, IN;
Glenn M. Patton of Valparaiso;
Anthony C.( Kari) Patton of Westville;
Timothy F. (Renee) Patton of Michigan City;
9 grandchildren: Leah Starkey, Anthony and Andrew Holston, Kody Bolka, Rachael Patton, Justin Anderson, Brad Spickard, Sara Stevens and Hunter Patton;
4 great grandchildren, Caleb Starkey, Collin Holston, Chloe and Cassidy Musgrave;
2 Sisters Rose (Jimmy) Dollinar and Mary Ann (Ronald) Haskins;
3 Brothers Robert (Joyce) Matson, Donald (Janis) Matson and Frank (Linda) Matson;
Numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and her faithful pets Keisha, Bear and Bobbie.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Raymond F. Patton, Jr. in 2009; parents, George and Ann Matson and one Brother Michael(Connie) Matson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 with prayers at 9.30am from Bocken Funeral Home, to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6605 Kentucky Avenue, Hammond for Mass of Christian Burial with Father Larry Kew Celebrant. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) on Tuesday, July 19th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Nancy was a lifelong resident of Hammond, she enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and working as a greeter at the Schererville Walmart . Nancy was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena until she moved to Westville in 2010 to be near her family. Nancy was an animal lover and faithful supporter of area humane societies.
