NATHANIEL LEE PITTMAN HAMMOND, IN 05/12/1977 - 02/24/2014 Nate left us too soon on February 24, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Samantha; four children: Nathaniel, Justice, Trace, and Sadie; mother, Barbara Martin; father, Bert (Marie) Pittman; brothers and sisters: Mandie (Phil) Gardner, Anthony McCarty, Christina McCarty, James (Paula) Martin, Daniel Martin, and Lisa (Lee) Brockman; his Grandma, Ann Saksa; father and mother-in- law: Frank and Cecelia Szeplakay; sister-in-law, Patricia Szeplakay; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Nate loved nature, music, animals, and helping people. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hammond, IN 46323.
