Nelda B. Cottrell

Nelda B. Cottrell, age 81, of Northwest Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

She is survived by her two sons: Charles (Dawn) Cottrell and Christopher (Jenn) Cottrell; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one sister: Charlotte (George) Broderick; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, John Cottrell; son: Steven L. Cottrell; parents: Denver and Marie Fentress; brother: William Fentress and nephew, George Broderick Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, February 26th, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.

Nelda was a life long resident of the region. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and was an awesome cook. Nelda's grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. Nelda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
