Nicholas Frank Plesha

Nicholas F. Plesha, age 76, of Hammond passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 16, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Randi M. Plesha (Nee Gross); daughter, Nadia (Daniel) Allen; son, Christopher Plesha; two sisters: Anne and Rose, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Nick was followed in his journey by his cat of 18 years "The Boo."

Nick was a longtime resident of the region. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and severed as Commander of Post 232 for numerous terms. He was also a multi-time commander of the VFW Post 7881 and served as District Vice Commander for 1st district of American Legion. Nick was retired from LTV Steel and was a member of Teamsters Local 142.

Services were private with burial at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, IN.
