Nick E. Valle, age 98, of Dyer, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29,2026.

He is survived by his three children: Nick (Julee Vandersluis) Valle Jr., Tim Valle and Ruth Ann Lewis; five grandchildren: Nicole Valle, Justin Valle, Nicholas Valle, Kristin Gereb and Timothy Valle; five bonus great-granddaughters: Lexee, Gracee, Phiebee, Marlee and Charlee; two siblings: Dominic Valle and Victoria Gloza; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his wives: Carol Mae Valle and Earleene C. Kissee Valle; parents, Domenico and Giovonnina Valle and numerous siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. directly at Elmwood Cemetery in the chapel located at 1413 E. 169th Street, Hammond, 46324.

Nick was born in Italy and was a longtime resident of the region. He was retired from the Union where he worked as a welder, carpenter, general maintenance and handyman. In his free time, Nick enjoyed bowling up to 5 times a week, up until his 90's and fishing. In his younger days he served as a Boy Scott leader and Little League Coach. He enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams—the Chicago Bears, the White Sox.
