Norma Jean Smack, age 81, of Hessville, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday October 15, 2017.

Norma is survived by her daughter: Debbie Summers; two sons: Randy and Robert Smack; one grandson: Brandon (Becca) Klodziej; four great granddaughters: Holly, Lily, Kali and Nora; one brother: Larry (Carol) Riccardi; dear companion Bill Smack; several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her grandson: James Alan Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20,2017 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Ronald Cooper, officiating. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Friday, October 20th from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Norma was born on January 1, 1936 in Hammond. She was retired from Hammond School City as a secretary after 29 years at Morton High School. Norma enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Norma was a loving mother a devoted grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed being with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
