Norman Richard Skrabala, age 77 of Hebron passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2012.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Patrick Skrabala and his mother, Beatrice Skrabala, nee, Bogucki;
2 brothers: Joseph R. Skrabala, Jr. and Gerald (Mary) Skrabala;
many nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie Skrabala and one sister, Beverly J. Simale.
A Memorial Mass for Norman Richard Skrabala will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon)
directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Charles Mosley celebrant.
Norman was born on September 24, 1934 in East Chicago, was raised in Indiana Harbor and attended Hammond Tech High School.
He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #6841 in Lowell. Norman worked as an electronic repairman at L.T.V. Steel and retired after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, reading and anything that involved electronics. Norman was an avid Greenbay Packer and Chicago White Sox fan. Per Norman's request there will be no time of visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the family.
