Ofelia "Dora Hinojosa, 85, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on July 14th. 2014.

She is survived by her three children Olga (Francisco) Rosales of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico; Homero "Chico" (Isabel) Hinojosa Jr.; Gerardo "Jerry" (Carey) Hinojosa, grandchildren Cynthia Rosales, Iliana (Michael) Rivera, Lisette (Humberto) Montemayor, Jennifer Hinojosa, Derek Hinojosa, Olga (Alejandro) Tovar, Melissa (Jaime) Sustaita and Daniel Hinojosa and Christina McDowell, ten great grandchildren Casey, Karissa, Michael, Humberto, Monserrath, Alicia, Mya, Cataleya, Alejandro, Jaime, and Gavin, and one great great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, Homero Hinojosa; three brothers: Felipe, Borrado and Ramiro Cantú; two sisters: Juanita and Ninfa Cantú.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville) Indiana, with a prayer service to take place at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.

Ofelia was a loving housewife and enjoyed flowers, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Upon retirement Ofelia and Homero Hinojosa spent a lot of time traveling with the Monterrey, N.L. Lions Club where they enjoyed dancing to their favorite song "Amor Perdido." Ofelia was a former member of the Woodman of the World (W.O.W.) Indiana Harbor club.
