Olga  (nee, Golubic) Novosel, age 93, of Hessville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2011.

She is survived by her loving children:

Mary Ruth Hunt of Lakewood, OH and Robert Novosel of Hammond;

2 grandchildren: Laura (Gary) Hill of South Orange, NJ and Jill Solberg of Woodstock, IL;

one great granddaughter, Isobela Solberg;

one brother, Joseph Golubic and one sister, Sr. M. Antonia Golubic; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with

Father Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville where Olga will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Nicholas. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, May 5th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). There will be a time of viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m.

Olga has lived in the Hessville section of Hammond since 1948 and has been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for over 60 years. She was past president of the Rosary Society and had been an active member of the Hanson Branch of the Hammond Public Library. Olga enjoyed reading, making ceramics and doing needlepoint.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Olga's memory to Hospice of the Calumet, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321.
