Patriciann "Pat" Hohenegger, age 82, of Calumet Township, formerly of Hammond entered into the gates of heaven on Monday, July 1, 2013.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Arnold A. Hohenegger;
one daughter, Patricia A. Hohenegger;
niece, Judith E. Rollins who resides with her, and many other devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mabel Elkins, 2 sisters, Evelyn Barton and Edna Marie Bayer.
Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
**Please note the day of the service** A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Hammond. There will be a time of viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the mass at 10:00 a.m.
Pat has been a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area and a 1949 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. She has been a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for over 50 years, where she served as past president of the Rosary Society, founded the Eucurist Ministry and was a home minister. Pat  was a very devout catholic who loved the Lord and always found time to pray. She was very active in the Girl Scouts and was leader of Troop #28 for 10 years. For many years she worked as a sales clerk at Carson's in Woodmar and she loved to travel. Pat was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, "Go Cubbies"! She was a kind and loving wife, mother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
