Paula Olga Corona, age 70, of Hammond, entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2017.

She is survived by her four daughters: Elizabeth De La Garza, Teresa Neives, Bernadette Montez and Margaret (Allen) Barbour; sixteen grandchilderen: Dennis Bulmer, Jesse Bulmer, Nicole Dandelske, Zachary Rodriguez, Joey Rodriguez, Summer Rodriguez, Patrick Flood, Tiffany Flood, Felicia Flood, Sergio Montez, Omar Montez, Junior Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, Melinda Gonzales, Cesar Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales; Numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

Paula was preceded in death by her daughter: Rebecca Flood; grandson: Richard Flood; parents, Joseph and Hope De La Garza.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22,2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Allen Barbour and Pastor Frank Garcia officiating. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Paula was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 20, 1947. She earned her bachelors degree at Chicago State University in social science and went on to work as an investigator for DCFS for over 20 years. Paula enjoyed reading, and getting together with family on the holidays. Her Grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a faithful member of The Gate Church and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
