Preston B. Orndorff, age 59 of Hammond, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Louise Orndorff,
(nee Renko);
children: Tammy (Greg) Marshall,
"Bob" Preston Orndorff, Jr., Lora (Kelly) Webb,
Anthony (Melissa ) Stewart; Martin Orndorff;
Tanya (Billy) Orndorff and Dora Orndorff;
16 grandchildren;
Mother, Dorlena (James)Sims;
Brothers: Roger (Margaret) Orndorff, John (Nancy) Orndorff,  Michael (Michelle) Orndorff, Danny Orndorff, Clarence Orndorff, Jr. and Steve Sims;
Sisters: Jeanenne Rollings, Norma (Danny) Dobson and Tiffany Orndorff; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Clarence E. Orndorff.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1,2012 at 7:45 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Wesley Helfenbein officiating. Private cremation will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, Feb.1st from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Preston was born on July 16, 1952 in Washington, D.C., grew up in Chicago and moved to the Calumet Area 15 years ago. He enjoyed plumbing and working on trucks. He was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory to the family.
