Ramon H. Aguilar, age 65, of Hammond, entered into rest in heaven on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan S. Aguilar (nee Moffett);  3 children: Amy Aguilar, Ramon C. (Jaime) Aguilar and Eric Aguilar; 6 grandchildren: Mariah, Blake, Hunter, Ian, Nolan and Lilah; 4 siblings: Carol Ochoa, Tony (Heidi) Aguilar, Ricky (George) Aguilar and Sandy Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Aguilar; one brother Gregory Aguilar.

Friends and family are invited for a time of memorial visitation on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) IN 46323. A service to celebrate Ray's life will follow at 7 p.m.

Ray was born and raised in the Chicago area, he then moved to the Hammond area around 1986. Ray enjoyed and was faithful at his job as a stationary engineer for the past 23 years at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel at 1 West Wacker Drive in Chicago. He was a member of union local 399. In his free time Ray enjoyed playing his guitar, cooking out and photoshopping his grandkids pictures on his computer. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, children and family. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend and will be deeply missed.
