Richard Lee Barnes, age 55, of Hammond, entered into eternal life suddenly on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
He is survived by his loving and devoted fiancée Ami Glidewell; mother: Donna Barnes; daughter: Angel Winters; three stepsons: Cody Moczynski, Andrew (Trisha) and Jimmy Glidewell; three sisters: Amy Jones, Lisa Reynolds and Gina Barnes;     numerous nieces, nephews and great friends.   Preceded in death by his father Gary Barnes and devoted friend Chuck O'Day.                                              Rick was born and raised in Bethany, MO. He has been a resident of Hessville for the past 15 years. Rick was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. He was employed as a gas technician for Peoples Gas Company. Rick enjoyed watching sports, and was a great fan of the Chicago Black Hawks and the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. He also enjoyed going and cheering on the Morton High School Football team. Rick was a happy go lucky, easygoing guy that loved to have a good time. He was a loving fiancée, dad, son, brother and loyal friend, and will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Thursday from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Ami Glidewell in memory of Rick Barnes for the Morton High School Football Team.
