Richard "Rich" Howard Francis, age 68, of Hammond entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Barbara Jean Francis, (nee, Kuske);
3 sons: Andrew Francis,
Richard Shaun and Jeffrey John Francis;
1 grandchild
2 brothers: John (Donna) Francis and Bill (Dixie) Francis;
1 uncle, Bill (Vivian) Waltman;
several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Dawn Francis; parents, Charles and Alice Francis; brothers, Dave and Chuck and sister, Darlene.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Jeff Beckett officiating. Cremation to follow.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Bocken Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Rich has been a lifetime resident of Hammond and a faithful member of Fairmeadow Community Church of the Nazarene. Rich was a proud U.S. Army veteran having served his country during the Vietnam Conflict, He was employed at Advance Municipal as a working supervisor.  Rich was a devoted family man who will be dearly missed.
