Rick J. Bocken, age 67, of Hammond, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Bocken (nee Lucas); mother, Pearl Bocken; sister, Pam (Steve) Eagan; bother, Jerry (Cindi) Bocken; Brother in-law, John (Jeannie) Lucas; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, James L. Bocken, and mother in-law, Rose Lucas.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Wednesday, March 25 , 2026, from 12 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, IN 46323. Private burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville.

Rick was a lifelong resident of the Region and a proud graduate of Morton High School, Class of 1976. He worked for Kopton Electric and Patten Caterpillar. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, and watching sports. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
