Robert Beitler, age 74, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Pamela Beitler; Children: Kevin, Keith (Jamie), Kimberlee (Alvin) Schroeder, Kristoffer (Amanda) Beitler; grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Anthony, Kara, Jazmyn, Alexis, Aidan, Sara, Corey, Mateo, Bryce and Dylan; sisters: Darleen (Lester) Pearson and Debbie (Alan) Beitler-Edwards; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Evelyn Beitler; and brother: Donald Beitler.

Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue Hammond, IN 46323. Navy military honors to be preformed at 2 p.m.

Robert was a Navy veteran, a graduate of Chicago Vocational High School, and retired from Ameritech. He coached basketball at Our Lady of Knock and football for the Calumet City Eagles and St. Ann's of Lansing IL
