Robert "Bob" M. Liming, age 91, of Hammond entered into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, October 5, 2013, as the result of a tragic accident.
He is survived by one son, James (Linda) Liming;
5 grandchildren: Jim Liming, Donnie Liming,
Tracy (Matt) Zander, Michael (Heather) Liming and
Tim (Heather) Liming;
11 great grandchildren
1 brother, Harold Liming;
1 sister, Helen VanScoyk;
2 sisters-in-law: Joyce and Barbara Liming;
numerous nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lenora E. (Myers) Liming; son, Donald Liming;
parents, John Carl and Mary Ethel Liming; 2 brothers: Lloyd "Bud" and Donald "Joe" Liming; one sister, Mildred VanGorp.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Life Point Church, 7350 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Orlando Solar and Rev. Raymond Bocken officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, October 9th at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. at Life Point Church.
Born and raised in Hammond Bob was a 1939 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force. Bob did concrete flatwork and was the owner of Robert Liming & Sons. He was a charter member of Life Point Church and was active in their Senior Ministry. Bob was faithful to his Lord, his church and his family. He centered his life around his church.
