Robert Alfred Pinell, age 74 of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

8 sisters and brothers: Marina, John, Alicia, Irma, Richard, Vincent, Linda and Rudy

Preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Mercedes Pinell and one brother, Daniel

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 19,, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421, with Pastor Roy Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Robert was born on May 3, 1940 in Puerto Cortes, Honduras. After high school graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp. and served with the 501st infantry. He was proud of his time in service to his country. Robert had been a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hammond for the past 5 years. He was self employed as a sign painter, and he truly enjoyed his work. Robert was a His favorite pastime was spending time with his many nieces and nephews, he loved them dearly.
