Robert E. Usselman "Bob" Whiting, IN April 1, 1932-January 5, 2021

Robert E. Usselman, age 88, of Whiting passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by one brother, Joe Usselman; 2 nieces: Tracy (Martin)Martinez and Amy (Rob) Mecklin; 1 nephew, Joe Usselman Jr.; great nieces, Emily and Danielle; Preceded in death by his parents, George Howard Sr. and Doreen Usselman; brother George Howard (Mary Ann) Usselman. Graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Elmwood Cemetery, 1413 -169th Street, Hammond IN 46324 with Pastor Paul Vale officiating. Bob was born on April 1, 1932 in Whiting and has been a lifetime resident. He was a graduate of Clark High School, class of 1952. He was proud of his service in the  U.S. Airforce and was a member of American Legion Post 80.  Bob worked as an inspector at Standard Oil and was retired from Lever Brothers.
