Roberta “Bobbie” Dubuc, age 88, of Whiting, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Marc Dubuc; children: Barbara (Hank) Maul, William Francisco III, Tina Francisco, Amy (Wayne) Witkowski, and Michelle (Mark) Wrzeszcz; beloved grandchildren: David Sokol, Julie (Ben) Tripp, William (Amber) Sokol, Alex (Crystal) Finick, April (David) Brockes, Esme Francisco and Brandiss Francisco; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Maxine Sedlak; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Irene Evans; brothers: Theodore, Wayne, Thomas; sister, Virginia; grandchildren; Sam Finick and Mia Roy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond IN 46323, private cremation will follow.

Bobbie was a lifelong resident of the region; she was retired from Grier Abrasives as Vice President in 2006 after 34 years of service. Bobbie enjoyed bowling at Olympia Lanes for decades, she also kept busy with Scrabble and crossword puzzles. Although her greatest joy came from being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. May the memories of her life bring comfort and strength to those who mourn her loss.
