Roberta L. Shultman, age 79, of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Community Hospital in Munster.

She is survived by her 4 Sons: Ted (Pam) Shultman of Schererville

Jim (Denise) Shultman of Crown Point

Rick (Paula) Shultman and David Shultman all of Hammond

1 Daughter: Tammy (John) Rozgony of Crown Point

11 Grandchildren: Traci, Nanci, Jeff, Dionne, Kelly, Robin, Christy, Scott, Jim, Lindsey and Johnny

13 Great Grandchildren

Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Theodore "Ted" Shultman, parents; Robert and Mae Louise Johnson, son; Robert Shultman, brother; Jim Nicklaus and 2 sisters; Laura Matheny and Ruth Bagley.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., with a time of viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the service, DIRECTLY at Concordia Lutheran Church, 7441 Grand Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Ronald Saatkamp officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, June 20 ^th at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 3 until 8 pm.

Roberta was a lifetime resident of Hammond, She was a 1948 graduate of Hammond High School. She and her husband, Ted made their home in the Woodmar section of Hammond and were faithful members of Concordia Lutheran Church, where Roberta helped in the Bible School. She was a member of the "Whatknot's" Bowling League at Kenwood Lanes. Roberta was an avid Cubs fan, "Go Cubbies"! Her life revolved around her family. She was a lovely Christian woman and will be missed by all who knew her.
