Rodolfo Morales Monares, age 72, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026. 

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maria Morales (nee Gomez); three children: Muraya (Armando) Flores, Brando Morales and Rudy Morales; four grandchildren: Angel, Sierra, Brando and Xavier; two great grandchildren: Angel and Saralisa; numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rodolfo was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Josefina Morales Paes and three siblings.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. directly at Concordia Cemetery located at 6551 Calumet Avenue, Hammond, 46324. Father Charles Mosley, officiating.

Rodolfo was born in Mexico City and has lived in the Hammond, East Chicago area since meeting his wife some 33 years ago. He attended Hammond Tech High School. Rodolfo was retired from US Steel where he was a crane operator and member of Union Local 150. In retirement he enjoyed relaxing, eating and being with family and friends. He was a loving, faithful husband, father, brother and friend.
