Rosa Gomez Olivarez, age 76, of Whiting, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 23, 2026.

She is survived by her four children: Cesar (Rosie Telles) Gomez; Juan Carlos (Lorena) Hernandez; Enrique Jovanni (Rachel) Gomez; and Iliana Maya; grandchildren: Cesar DelValle, Jacqueline Hernandez, Sebastian Hernandez, Alexandra Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez Jr., Ricardo Hernandez, Stephanie Hernandez, Paola Hernandez, Nicholas Alexander Gomez, Vanessa Gomez, Santino Rodriguez, Santana Rodriguez, and Penelope Rodriguez; great-grandchildren: Naomi, Julius, Malakai Odie, Carlos Jr., William, Austin, and Ezio; and her brother, Carlos Gomez Olivarez.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Refugio Gomez Garcia; and her siblings, Raul, Roberto, Francisco, Ramon, and Santiago.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Saturday, February 28, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at New Creation Ministry Church, 9738 5th St., Highland, IN 46322. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Rev. Jose Burgos officiating. Private cremation will follow.

Rosa was a longtime resident of the Region. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always willing to help others.
