Rosalie Nagy loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother left us peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Born on January 7, 1940 in Ann Arbor, MI she was 70 years of age.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Nagy, Sr. of the Hessville section of Hammond
Sons; Joseph, Jr. (Karen) Nagy of Crown Point
Steven George (Patty) Nagy of Ohio
Daughter; Holly Marie (Rick) Ramirez of Hessville
Grandchildren: Michealene Ann Nagy of IL,
Emily Ward Smith, Maddy Rose, Haley Elaine, Zoe Janine Canfield of Crown Point, Jennifer Marie , Stephanie Rose and Sara Nicole Nagy of Ohio, Nicole Marie (Mike) Burke of Colorado and only one grandson, Alex Paul Ramirez of Hessville
Great Grandchild, Cecilia Rose Burke of Colorado
Sisters: Virginia and Barbara both of Arizona
Brothers; John of FL and Tom of MA
Step-brother, Gerald of CA

Rose leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors including dear close friend, Marie May
Preceded in death by her parents; George and Mary Gouwens of South Holland, IL
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Steve Kosinski officiating. Private cremation will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 6 th from 6 unitl 8 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Rose graduated from T.F. North in Harvey, IL and attended Webster College in FL and Purdue University in Hammond. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology. Rose was a member of O.L.P.H. Church in Hessville. She was formerly employed at Walgreen's, School City of Hammond, and IN Family and Social Services Administration.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
