Rosemary Thomas, age 75, of Hessville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Kenneth L. Thomas; parents, John and Evelyn Koch and one brother, James Koch.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Michael) Ferguson of Hammond and Ann Marie (fiancé, John Kuhn) Thomas of Hammond;
three grandchildren: Megan (Josh) Schmidt of Clarksville, IN, Lauren (fiancé, Josh Wise) Ferguson of Hammond and Emily Ferguson of Hammond;
Sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Krzan of Hammond;
Brother, William (Sandy) Koch of San Diego, CA;
Godson, John (Betty) Krzan of Hammond;
Sister-in-law, Barbara Koch of Novato, CA;
Dear Nana, Agnes Kulchar of Hammond
numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville), with Rev. Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, April 20, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) and also Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the mass at 10:00 a.m. Prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Rose was a lifetime resident of Hammond. She has been a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and longtime member of the Ladies Rosary Society and a member of American Legion Post #126 Ladies Auxiliary. Rose taught ceramic classes at her home for over 40 years. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. Rose was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a dear friend to many. All memorial contributions that are made will be given to Rose's favorite charity.
