Sandra Arlene Pondo, age 76, of Hammond entered into eternal life on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

She is survived by two children: Ralph (Jensina) Sundberg, and Mary Ann (David) Mulvihill; three grandchildren: Kimberly, Rose and little Ralph Sundberg; three sisters: Georgia Mae (late George) Nightingale, Joyce (Gary) Judson and Sharon (Wayland L. Smith) Arcella; three brothers: Donald (Carol) Pool, David (Debbie) Pool and Richard (Linda) Pool; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her husband Emil Pondo; parents, Carl (Claudia) Pool; two sisters: Barbara (Arvel) Copeland and Claudia Odell Pool; one brother, Carl Pool; two half brothers: Bill and Jerry Pool.

Sandy was born and raised in Hammond and had been a resident of the Hessville section for many years. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed singing Karaoke. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children, grandchildren and people in general. She will long be remembered for her fun upbeat personality as she danced her way thorough life. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be made to the charity of your choice.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
