Shelba Ann Sanders, age 80, of Hammond, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her children on September 1, 2017.

She is survived by her one daughter, Pamela (Kerry) Skorupa; two sons: Terry (Doreen) Sanders, Jeff Sanders; six grandchildren: Eric and Matt Skorupa, Steven, Kristen and Tiffany Sanders, Tommy Beavers; one great grandchild, Stella Renee Guerra; two sisters: Kaye (Bill) Butler, Connie (Bud) Stallings; and many nieces and nephews.

Shelba was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen Sanders; daughter, Sharon Beavers; father, Hoy Greer, Mother, Lois Shadinger; step-father, Homer Shadinger, sister, Sue Carol Phillips, brother, John Greer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5,2017 at 12:45 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Joe Best, officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

Shelba retired from Creviston Trucking. She loved her family and was very involved in her grandchildren's lives. Shelba enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as playing bingo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
