Sherry Catsban-Holman (Nee Bewley) age 61 of Hammond, passed on Wednesday December 8,2010 at Community Hospital after a long battle against cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years Melvin J. Holman. Step Daughter Stacy Holman of Los Angeles, CA and Step Son Joel (Nicole) Holman of Hammond. Three Grandchildren Marisa, Alex and Dylan. Father James H. Bewley of Hammond. Two Brothers Don "Donna" Bewley of Gary and her Twin Terry L. (Mary) Bewley of Hammond.Many Nieces, nephews,cousins aunts and uncles.Preceded in death by her mother Faye Bewley (Nee Bales) and nephew Robbie Bewley. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sherry L. Catsban-Holman will be held at First Christian Church of Hessville 6805 Alabama Ave. Hammond,IN 46323 on Saturday December 18,2010 at 11am. Sherry was born and raised in the region and is a Vietnam era veteran of the Marine Corps. She retired from Mittal steel after 39 years of service in the Customer Service Department as Supervisor.She was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Post 232 and A.W.M.I.. Sherry loved Golfing, Motorcycle riding, caring for animals, but most of all spending time with her Grandchildren. Cremation services entrusted to Bocken Funeral Home.
