Sherry J. Douglas, age 64, formerly of Hammond, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Survived by her father, Merle D. Douglass; two aunts: Ruby and Judy; numerous cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Douglass (Nee Luce) and brother, David B. Douglass.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, February 5, 2018 for visitation from 4-8 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, (Hessville). Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home. Graveside burial will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky.

Sherry was a life long resident of the Calumet area; she was a graduate of Hammond Tech High School. Sherry loved her job at Power brake and spring, in Gary where she was a sales person. Besides being a Chicago Bears fan she enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles. Sherry was an animal fanatic she would stop to help injured animals and took care of all of Gods creatures. Sherry was a loving daughter, niece, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed.
