Simon-Peter Ebeling, age 29, of Hammond, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.
Survived by his beloved wife of 6 years, Laura Marie Ebeling; 2 daughters: Amelia-Raye Marie Ebeling and Sophia Brooke Ebeling; parents: John Ebeling and Raye Peoples; siblings: Lionel (Holly) Ebeling, Seth (Malissa) Ebeling, Jedediah (Bridget) Ebeling, Ygern Ebeling, Ashley Ebeling, William-Wyatt Peoples; his faithful companions, "Shelby" and "Rex"; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Preceded in death by his brother, Timon-Isiah Ebeling;

Grandparents: Arthur and Nancy Ebeling and Engleberta Gurgone.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Lansing American Legion Post #697, 18255 Grant St., Lansing, IL 60438 at 3:30 p.m.

Simon-Peter was born in Evanston, Il, but currently a resident of Hammond. He was a 2005 graduate of Morton High School. Sgt. Simon-Peter retired from the U.S. Army after an outstanding ten-year career. He served in both the Iraq and Afghanistan Campaigns as a Health Care Specialist. He was Jr. Vice Commander of the American Legion Post #697 in Lansing; and member of the American Legion Riders. He loved riding his bike, "Lola".

Simon-Peter enjoyed cooking, culinary arts and dressing as a chief. He was a loving, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and dear friend. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
