Steven B. Tirtel, age 34 of Hammond, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 7, 2012.
He is survived by his father Steven G. Tirtel of Hammond, Sister Tara N. Tirtel of Hammond and niece Charleigh Grace Tokarz. Aunts; Glenda (Carlos) Barnes, Fran Burkett and Sherry (Eric) Conkright. Uncles; Dennis, David, Paul (Evelyn) and Randy Brock. Many cousins and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his mother Vickie D. Tirtel, Parental grandparents Glen W. (Mary C.) Tirtel, Maternal grandparents Earl Lee (Dorothy E.) Brock .
Funeral service  will be held on Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 11am at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) private cremation will follow.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday July 10,2012 from 2-8pm at Bocken Funeral Home.
Steve was a 1996 graduate of Gavit High School; he was employed at Amturf Enterprises in Miller,IN as a production supervisor. He loved motorcycling, video gaming, fishing, hunting, movies, target practicing and fast cars .But most of all Steve loved playing with his niece Charleigh. Steve will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
