Tara N. Mikkelsen, age 27, of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 17, 2012.
She is survived by her loving son; Dustin Johnson;
Parents, Rhonda Mikkelsen and George Harmon and step father Marco Rodriguez; step grandparents Jose (Irene) Rodriguez;
brothers: George Mikkelsen and Jeremiah Harmon; nephew, Wyatt Harmon and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her grandparents and several uncles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012   friends are invited to meet with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).  Private cremation will follow.
Tara attended both TF North High School and Gavit High School. She enjoyed listening to music and" hanging out" with friends and family. Tara was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and a dear friend to many. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
