Ted (Thaddeus) H. Janowski
Hammond
Ted H. Janowski, age 81, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Vern (nee, Pierazek) Janowski of Hammond;
1 son, Ted Janowski, Jr. of Hammond;
1 daughter, Debbie (Carlos) Socorro of Coral Springs, FL;
1 brother, Ray (Rose) Janowski of Highland;
2 brothers-in-law, Jim (Barbara) Pierazek and Bob Pierazek all of Riverside, CA;
many nieces, nephews and a host of loyal friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary (nee, Zurawski) Janowski.
Ted was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area. He was born on August 27, 1930 in East Chicago graduated from East Chicago Washington High School, class of 1948. Ted was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corp. as Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Calumet Brewing Co. for many years, was the former owner and operator of Ted's Tap in Griffith and the owner and operator of the Town Theater in Highland. Ted was a kind and giving man, a loving husband and father and dear friend to many. As per Ted's wishes there will be no services at this time.
