Terese Maria Hernandez, age 64, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years,

Francisco Hernandez, Jr.;

2 children: Francisco Hernandez,III

and Maureen Hernandez;

4 Grandchildren: Zachary, Nicholaus, Sabrina and Selena;

2 brothers: Michael and James Flynn;

2 sisters: Patricia Chance and Maureen Flynn;

Numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Flynn; brother, Thomas Flynn; sisters: Cathy Marshall, Vera Miller, Betty Smiddy and Anne Bodish.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 4:00 p.m.

A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Mosley officiating.

Private cremation will follow.

Terese was born on December 3, 1949 in Edinburgh, Scotland and has lived in Hammond since 1961. She enjoyed traveling back home to Scotland to visit family and friends. Terese worked several years for the School City of Hammond as a janitor. She loved to read "true crime" novels, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. "Go Cubbies". Terese dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
