Thomas was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Inland Steel in 2004 after over 34years working as a grinder, and was a member of the Inland 25 year club. Thomas loved to bowl and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, "Go Cubbies!" Thomas was a generous man and had a heart of gold; he was always helping someone in need.
