Timothy Patrick Lukacek, age 62, of Hammond, IN, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 15, 2024. He is survived by his brother Mark (Tammy) Lukacek; nieces and nephews: Felicia, Mark and Matthew; beloved special cousin and caregiver, Kimmie and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jethro was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Lukacek; siblings: John F., Christopher J. and Mary Ellen Lukacek; nephew, Andrew Lukacek.

Jethro was a lifetime resident of Hammond. He was a graduate of Morton Senior High School. He worked as a heavy-duty operating engineer for the City of East Chicago for the past 32 years. Jethro was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hessville, the Moose Lodge and the Goodfellows Club. He was big fan of the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and hanging out at Porters or the Eagles. Jethro will be missed by many who were blessed to know him and experience his friendship and generosity. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323. Graveside burial will take place on Monday November 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville IN.
