Timothy Perez, age 94, of East Chicago, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia (David) Bellovary; dear friend, Fran Franker, step daughter, Olga Silva, 2 grandsons; Ernest (Catherine) Delgado and Timothy (Jessica) Bellovary, 3 great grandchildren; Michael and Meagen Delgado and Parker May Bellovary, Siblings: Remiga (late Lee) Lozano, Helen (late, Hector) Villarreal, Mary Munoz and Joseph Raymond Ramirez; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret Perez; parents, Pedro and Sostenes Perez; brothers: Peter, Nazario and Augustine Perez and John Ramirez.                            A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7137 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday at church from 9:30 a.m. until10:00a.m.                                                                                               Tim was a lifetime resident of East Chicago and a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1938. He retired from Inland Steel after 42 years of service. Tim was a member of the Inland Steel 25 year club, local 1010 and parishioner of St. Patrick's Church. Tim was an avid bowler for 45 years, bowling on 3 leagues and bowled a 299 at age 80. He was a fan of all sports but especially cheered on the Chicago Bears and White Sox.
