Twila Jane Hobson, age 60, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hammond,  passed away suddenly on Monday, October 19, 2020.

She is survived by her two children: Tonya Fulkerson Wilson and Thomas (Jennifer) Hobson; grandchildren: Trent and Tate Wilson, Parker and Mason Hobson and Hunter Ray; brother, Gerald (Debbie Livley) Fulkerson; sister Crystal (Rick Gonzalez) Eckman; ex-husband, Mark Hobson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her father Gerald Fulkerson, mother, Joyce (John) Hrycak (nee Backus); aunt and best friend Carol Fulkerson, cousin and best friend Shelia Kolish.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m.  Private cremation will follow. Due to Covid-19 restrictions face mask are required and no food will be permitted in the funeral home.

Twila was born and raised in Hammond. She attended Gavitt High School and graduated in the class of 1978. Twila was a  retired home health aide having worked for VNA Hospice Homecare of Valparaiso. Twila enjoyed shopping and crafting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, nana, sister  and friend who will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
